PROJECT

New York Drive Spanish Modern

Altadena, CA

For this Altadena fire rebuild, the owners knew what mattered most: A home that felt bright, airy and restful, with room to live indoors and out and a quiet place to return to after time on the bike. The home uses modular construction methods, and the Letter Four pre-designed interior package gives the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1,550 square foot home a cohesive interior without requiring the owners to start every choice from zero. The design draws on Spanish style architecture,  rarely seen in modular homes, and feels grounded and warm, with living spaces that open to the outdoors and an outdoor setting designed as a calm, private retreat. An ADU on the property adds a separate, flexible space alongside the main home.

‍

Modular construction can save homeowners both time and money. Projects built with modular methods can finish up to 25% faster than comparable stick-built homes, and construction costs can run 5–10% lower.
