Our clients wanted a place that felt bright and airy, while being comfortable enough that they would never need to leave. In the Los Angeles neighborhood of Mar Vista, their forever home takes shape with 4 bedrooms, 4 and a half bathrooms with a modern prairie style. Grounded and open, with lines that stretch out and invite you to settle in. Touches of feng shui help each room flow gently into the next, so the whole 3,195 square feet feels calm and easy to move through. A wine cellar waits in the basement for the next celebration. The rooftop is where evenings end best, with friends gathered and cocktails in hand as the sun goes down. Radiant heating and cooling floors keep every room pleasant underfoot, a greywater retention system quietly makes the most of every drop. These Passive House design elements keep the whole home comfortable through every season while using very little energy.
